AMC Scholarships
AMC Engineers believes in supporting and retaining talented, Alaskan college students who pursue a degree in engineering. To that end, AMC created two $1,000 annual scholarships in conjunction with the University of Alaska Anchorage's newly created Bachelor of Science in Engineering program: the AMC Engineers Scholarship and the David D. Adams Memorial Engineering Scholarship.
We were extremely excited to hear that UAA is implementing a bachelor of science in engineering degree program for electrical and mechanical engineering, said Boyd Morgenthaler, President of AMC Engineers. We wanted to do something to help local Alaskans pursuing an engineering degree and hopefully, keep that talent in-state. This was also a wonderful opportunity for us to honor Dave Adams, whose engineering leadership and influence was so beneficial to UAA for more than two decades.
The AMC Engineers Scholarship is for mechanical engineering majors while the David D. Adams Memorial Scholarship targets electrical engineering majors. Both offer financial assistance for tuition and other educational expenses to full-time students formally admitted into the Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering program at UAA.
The David D. Adams Memorial Engineering Scholarship was created to honor the memory of David Adams, a nationally renowned electrical engineer and co-founder of AMC Engineers, who died in June 2004 in a car accident. Dave Adams Bio »
