Jake Kirk, EIT
Staff Mechanical Engineer
Jake graduated from Montana State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics. While in college, he competed for the Bobcats as a cross country and track athlete while completing his engineering degree. Unfortunately for his knees, this hobby persists. After exploring a few different career paths, including building automation design and commercial telecommunications installation, he has finally found his way back to opportunities in the engineering world. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as racing Mount Marathon, skiing Ragdoll Gate at Alyeska, and embarking on longer cross-country skiing adventures.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
I participated in a race called The Speed Project. It was a 6-person team running race from LA to Vegas. We had a racer on the road for the 36 hours it took us to complete the course. It was an adventure that only needed to be completed once.
