John Hood, PE, RCDD, BCxP
Associate/Senior Electrical Engineer
John was raised in Alaska after moving with his family via the Alcan Highway in the late 1970s. He graduated from Chugiak High School before joining the Navy in 1997. After serving six years as a submarine qualified nuclear reactor operator, living in Hawaii and traveling around the world (literally), he was honorably discharged. With his GI Bill and Navy College Fund in hand, he returned home to Alaska and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. John began as an intern at AMC Engineers the year before graduating and has enjoyed working here ever since. Like many Alaskans, he loves spending time outdoors with his family and playing video games with his daughters.
