Trenton Drumm, PE
Mechanical Engineer
Originally from Oregon, Trenton now resides in the Matsu Valley, where he attended Wasilla High School. In May 2019, he graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage and shortly after began his career at AMC Engineers. Trenton was born to be an engineer. As a kid, he was always building something, whether it was forts in the woods, Lego constructions, or other contraptions. He loves to problem solve and find the “right” solution, not just the one that works. When he’s not in the office, you probably won’t find him at home, as he’s likely off on another camping, hiking, hunting, or fishing adventure with his wife and three kids.

Why did you choose this career?
I chose this career because I love to work on and solve problems. A building design is a collection of complex puzzles and problems put together, where all the pieces work together to complete a work of art.

What has been your greatest achievement or your proudest moment while working at AMC Engineers?
My proudest moment while working at AMC Engineers was being the Mechanical Engineer of Record for the new Matsu Borough Gateway Visitor Center. I was raised in and currently live in the Matsu Valley, so being a part of this new landmark building in my hometown is very special to me.

What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?
Archery is one of my favorite things to do. It requires total focus and the rest of the world melts away. The moment of watching your arrow fly and hit its mark is indescribable.
