Derek Yampradit, EIT, CDT
Staff Mechanical Engineer
Derek is a transplant to Alaska via Montana. After graduating from Montana State University, he and his wife moved to Alaska, where they worked for a non-profit organization. In 2022, Derek joined the AMC Mechanical Department. The Yampradit family enjoys a good campfire with s’mores after a day spent biking, hiking, berry picking, and fishing.

What motivates you to excel in your role?
The projects that we work on serve the communities we live in. Schools, healthcare facilities, and government buildings all provide essential services, and there’s a sense of pride in being able to provide value in your own community.

What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?
Fishing has been a lifelong hobby of mine.

Where’s your dream travel destination?
I would love to travel to New Zealand.
